Loving: My new place. I know I’ve posted a lot about the packing/moving aspect and not much else since then. Trust me, it’s been a bit of a pain in the butt to live without internet for the past couple of weeks, but I will eventually get around to taking some real photos and giving a little tour of the place once I’ve unpacked everything.
Reading: I decided to give the book from the last two months (Brandwashed by Martin Lindstrom) a little rest. I picked up Nice Girls Don’t Get the Corner Office and have been hooked. I never realized how many of these “mistakes” I’ve been making at work and it’s been quite eye-opening to read about how certain behaviours are perceived– especially habits where I thought I was “doing the right thing”.
Watching: Project Runway! To be honest, the season has never been the same since Kooan left. Christopher and Sonjia are still my favourites to win and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the season unfolds. Only a few more episodes!
Anticipating: The day that internet is finally installed in my apartment! I should probably stop procrastinating and get on it already…
Listening to: Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood. This song was introduced to me almost six months ago and I still love now as much as I did when I first heard it. The lyrics couldn’t be more fitting for the transition from Summer to Autumn!
Planning: Thanksgiving dinner! It’s never too early to start talking about how many pumpkin pies are needed, especially considering last year’s pie-coma fiasco.
Working on: Curbing the number of trips I make to Target on a weekly basis. I think I hit an all-time low (or high?) last week when I showed up to the store at 7am. Never in a million years would I have pictured myself waking up at 6:30am on a weekday to go to Target.
Wishing: Seattle weather would make up its mind! Some days it’s t-shirt and shorts weather, and other days I feel like I should’ve walked out with a parka. The end of summer is confusing me (and my closet).
Funny to see how much has changed since August!
