I can’t even begin to tell you how thankful I am for all the support in the last couple weeks in the Cotton 24 Hour Runway contest. The fact that so many of you tweeted and shared on facebook and voted daily means a lot to me. It’s kind of incredible to go to bed every night and wake up to find a couple hundred votes being added to the tally first thing in the morning (since I’m a dork and the voting numbers was the first thing I checked every morning after my alarm went off). Despite not making it through to the second round, I am happy to have still been selected as one of 48 finalists (selected from 1,681 looks) to take part in the first round.

outfit details:
cardigan: Street markets of Korea
blouse & tie: H&M
shorts: Chatuchak handmade market (Bangkok, Thailand)
socks: c/o Soxxy (exact)
oxfords: Walmart
glasses: c/o Rivet & Sway (exact)
In my mind, this was the perfect outfit to spend the day catching up on the last two issues of Martha Stewart Living that have been sitting on hallway floor since… forever ago… and making a list of craft projects I want to start/finish by the end of the year.
Are there any projects you’d like to finish by the end of the year? Maybe we can help motivate each other to get started on (or finish) them!
It’s been a while since I wore a tie, which was sported the look that was submitted for the contest, so I figured I would fall back on my favourite accessory for another look! Unlike the usual ways of accessorizing my tie, I tried to make this look a little more girly.
