The past few weeks have been a little strange. I’ve been having trouble sleeping through the night and have been wide awake almost every night from 3 to 6am. After spending the first few nights of insomnia tossing and turning in bed, unable to fall back asleep, I’ve tried to be more productive during these hours. Most days I’ll answer emails or wash the dishes (this is when I know I’m bored since washing dishes is my most hated chore), but other nights have been spent (browser) window shopping. Online shopping is great– who can say no to a store that’s open 24/7 and shopping in the comforts of their pajamas at 3am?So… another ridiculous cat sweater may or may not have ended up in my closet… *shifty eyes*

Maybe my sleepy-eyes deceived me, but I was really hoping this sweater would be more purposefully and obviously over-sized in person, like it looks on the model. When I first tried it on, I felt like I had just bought a boxy, shapeless, men’s sweater with a cat face on it. It’s definitely too short on me to be a sweater dress, but I’m positive that I can figure out a way to reconstruct it! Here are some ideas I’m throwing around:

Which option do you think I should go with?
a. keep the original neckline and sleeve design, but make the sweater more fitted
b. widen the neckline and keep the sleeve design
c. widen the neckline, make baseball-tee style half sleeves
This is Grumpy Cat. Isn’t she cute? :3

Just in case you’re wondering what the connection is between the title of this post and my thoughts about the sweater:
