Creative on work days

Work is always an interesting topic when it comes to wardrobe. I know I’m lucky when it comes to fashion and office rules since my workplace is pretty laid back and casual. Without having a strict dress code, I find myself sometimes getting too lenient and showing up in graphic tees and jeans more often than I probably should. It doesn’t help that with the recent move, majority of my clothes are still stored in suitcases and only the t-shirts have found a permanent spot outside of those rolling bags.

This season, I’m hoping to fill out my closet with some versatile layering pieces that are fun for the office and still casual enough for weekends.

tank top: H&M
blazer with accordion detail: c/p Jaleh (exact)
boyfriend jeans: GAP (similar)
peep toe wedges: Franco Sarto
Face a Face glasses: c/o Vizio Optic
necklace: DIY by yours truly

I’ve been living in boyfriend jeans lately (again, partly because I can’t remember which boxes the rest of my pants were packed in during the move) and wanted to dress up my usual outfit a bit more than with the usual cardigan. The accordion detailing on the back of the Vera blazer from Jaleh is perfect for just that. The fit of the blazer has a slightly oversized fit with ruched sleeves (thank goodness because I usually have to roll up blazer sleeves from being an awkward length on my dinosaur-long arms) and a hook-eye closure on the front which keeps it looking relaxed, even when closed.

If you can’t tell, I’m stoked to finally be able to bust out all the layering pieces! Summer was fun and all, but I’m ready to retire the shorts now.
