Fall wardrobe to winter

Here we are, the last day of February. What an insanely weird Winter we’ve had in Seattle where the temperatures would bring snow one day, almost-shorts weather the next, and then pouring rain for the rest of the week. I’ve been having a tough time trying to keep up with all the mid-season changes, but doing my best to roll with the punches.

With the goal of 2017 being quite light in clothing purchases in an attempt to stabilize my closet (and number of belongings, in general), I’ve been getting creative with the pieces that I already own in my wardrobe. A lot of the pieces in today’s outfit are reworks carried over from last Fall. The only new additions are the floral print shoes, which are part of J.Jill’s February collection.

One of the biggest requests I received after making a post earlier this year about blogging more authentically was to share more “real life” outfits and show how pieces in my closet are getting reworked from season to season. All of the outfits shared on this blog are ones that I wear out and about in real life. It’s a little challenging when I only post an outfit once every 3 days or so, but I hope to keep showcasing what a real life, working minimalist closet, can be!

In the outfit details above, I’ve added links to old posts wearing the same pieces. As much as I love to read traditional fashion blogs that are geared more towards style aspiration, living in a city with small closets is not exactly conducive to owning a lot of clothes. Here’s to continuing to inspire one another to make the most of our closet and transitioning pieces from one season to the next.
